COVID-19 and the Economy in the Commonwealth

President and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond
 
Barkin will provide his perspective on the economy, recent Fed actions, and prospects for recovery. As one of the Federal Reserve’s leaders, he is responsible for monetary policy, bank supervision, payment services, and the Fed’s National IT organization. He is “on the ground” continually in the Fed’s Fifth District, which covers South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia and Maryland, and has brought real focus to the less prosperous parts of that district. This session will offer Barkin a chance to hear from regional leaders on the reality of our current economy.
